Residential building in Copenhagen's Nordhavn

Sundmolehusene is a residential building in Nordhavn, where new housing is adapted to an area characterized by preserved warehouses and few carefully selected construction fields. The project marks the first new construction on Sundmolen and forms part of the area's gradual development.

The development contains both apartments and townhouses and is designed with a focus on variety, urban life and interaction between buildings and outdoor spaces. The offsets of the facades create a vivid expression, where light and shadow contribute to the experience of volume and detailing.

Architecture, materials and outdoor spaces

Sundmolehusene is designed with a simple and Nordic architectural expression, where material selection and detailing play a key role. The building combines tiles in light, warm shades with facade elements in a matte bronze colour, which contributes to a calm and cohesive overall impression.

The green urban spaces continue throughout the settlement in the form of semi-public courtyards and green islands. Green roof gardens on the lower roof surfaces contribute to the green character of the area, while all homes have their own balcony to complement common outdoor spaces.
