Danish company Boligkontoret Århus signs 4-year framework agreement with Byggeprojekt.dk

Having spent years being required to use various project web solutions supplied by many different partners, Boligkontoret Århus is now streamlining its work processes with a bespoke platform delivered by Byggeprojekt.dk. The objective is to save resources on the numerous projects in all kinds of price classes run by the housing office.

Boligkontoret Århus has conventionally used different solutions made available by different parties – consultants involved in their construction projects, for instance. However, this was far from an optimal solution, as Erik Frehr, Construction and Innovation Manager, explains:

“It meant that our staff were constantly trying to keep track of all kinds of tools and access codes for the various projects, so what we really needed was consistency and a simpler system.”

Four-year framework agreement

As a result, Boligkontoret Århus put a contract out to tender before the summer holidays, with Byggeprojekt.dk emerging as the winner:

“We’ve found an excellent solution where Byggeprojekt.dk delivers a professional project web that we can then adapt to our specific needs for both large and small projects,” says Erik Frehr.

Easy for everyone to use

An additional bonus for Boligkontoret Århus is that the Byggeprojekt solution is easy to understand and simple to use.

“Over the course of a year, we work on a wide variety of projects involving everyone from consultants and contractors to project managers, property inspectors and civil servants,” explains Erik Frehr.

Works well for projects of all sizes

Boligkontoret Århus typically runs 40–50 projects a year, priced at anything from DKK 100,000 to DKK 250 million. It was therefore essential that the new project web should be able to handle everything within this scope.

“We placed emphasis on having a system that was simple enough for a minor renovation assignment, but which featured functionality to handle the really big projects. From this perspective, the Byggeprojekt solution is easy to use because we can adapt it to the assignment in question, while retaining the systematics from one assignment to the next,” concludes Erik Frehr.

The professional project web from Byggeprojekt.dk is currently making its début at Boligkontoret Århus with the renovation of Kirkedammen – a small property comprising 26 apartments, which is expected to take around a year to complete.
